Does he ever play a good guy?


Every role I've seen him in after St. Elsewhere has been as a bad guy. I think he'd be on the A list if he played more good guys.

I don't think I've seen Proof of Life all the way through. I think it was on TV and I was flipping between it and something else.

Hurt Locker, minor role but still good guy. But the real villain in the movie is war itself.

HE's also a good guy in "Shattered Vows" (1984) as Father Tim. I saw it long ago, it's a pretty decent watch.

He was Jody Fosters nice father in Contact. He was also a tough but, as it turned out, a good cop in The Negotiator.

Oh yeah, Contact. Totally forgot that one too. I think The Negotiator was the one I was thinking of when I said I only saw some of it. Not Proof of Life.
