What does he do for money?

He retired in 1997, and his last IMDb credit was 2006. That was 8 years ago. What did he do for money?

EDIT: Upon further investigation he did "Bob and Doug McKenzie's 2-4 Anniversary" in 2007, and he apparently put out a comedy album in 2013.

But that's all? That's still pretty skimpy. Was he that wealthy that he could support himself and two kids?

EDIT: Upon further investigation, I found out that his net worth was $14 million. He didn't need to do *beep* for money. I think that I could stretch 14 mill for 8 years.

That's exactly what I would do if I was an actor and I made that much money.
Tom Hanks pulled in $409.9 million voicing the beloved toy cowboy Woody in “Toy Story 3,” according to boxofficemojo.com ... why bother working after that? That's better than the lottery!

You're a brilliant man, Mr. Moranis. Stay retired. Ghostbusters 2 was terrible, and 3 will be worse.

I`m sorry for my lack of manners, but I`m not used to escorting men.

Yes, people hugely underestimate the ridiculous fees actors are paid - even quirky ones who were only briefly famous.
However, I find it extremely unlikely Tom Hanks was paid $400m just for voice acting on Toy Story 3.
Anyway, Moranis was just a nerdy, wimpy Jew. The roles soon dry up for actors who have obvious characteristics. Also, he has done plenty of voice acting since he was 'flavour of the month*' (*for a few years).

...Yeah, as I thought, Hanks only got $15m for Toy Story 3 and only got paid $50k for Toy Story (1). Mind you, TS, came right after Forrest Gump, which he got $70m from (his largest fee, including a cut of box office profits).
He could've retired after Big.

I stand corrected. He "only" made 15 million dollars!

His wife died he had two small children and he decided not to act anymore. It was a self imposed exile. He was not some flavor of the month. He has more talent then most of these so called comic actors we see now. Oh and you are a bigot.

Two thumbs up to that reply!

You do know that a majority of us will never see a million dollar in our lifetime unless by some sheer luck, we win the lottery or something. Even though Rick Moranis only made 15 million dollar his entire career, that is still enough to live your whole entire life on considering if you're smart about it and live within your means. He could live modestly in a middle class neighborhood. A nice size house with 4 bedrooms and he'd be set for life. The only way for him to blow throw 15 million would be if he got a big head about it, like most sports celebrities or Rap artist that flaunt their money and they end up broke even when they're worth 100 million. To answer your question, he doesn't have to do anything for money since he has already made enough of it and he invested some of that money in his production company as well as his country album.

Sports stars/rappers...so black people? There's plenty of broke-ass white celebrities out there as well.
