Little physical habit he does

My daughter and I have watched Jonny Lee in Elementary, Mansfield Park, and Emma and noticed that he does the same body action in each: When he's finishing a thought or sentence, he bounces up and down on his heels, like a punctuation. He often adds slapping both hands to the sides of his thighs for emphasis. Has anyone noticed this in other roles? I think it's funny. Love JLM!

I have noticed that in Elementary he does that and I am pretty sure he did it on Eli Stone too. Will have to keep a look out when I watch something else of his. Which I will soon cause I love him.

reply

Yes, he does that! But so far I've noticed he only does that when he plays a light character or situation. He certainly didn't do that in Frankenstein.

reply

Yeah he's done that since forever, he's a bouncy, Guinea pig sort of chap. I think he does multiples of them in either Plunkett & Macleane or Hackers, usually at a eureka moment.

One of many reasons why Ray Bradbury is SO much better than Isaac Asimov.

Yup! And I love him too!

He also does a little, 'hmm?' at the end of sentences! He's adorable!
