Nancy McKeon is headed for 'Has-Been' road!

Nancy McKeon hasn't acted since Wildhearts wrapped up production in 2005(despite it's 2006 year on IMDB). Plus now that Nancy has been brainwashed by Lisa Whelchel and her books and has a 2nd kid on the way, I feel Nancy McKeon will finally quit acting for good and becoming a full time mommy and coddle her two kids and home-school them both, because she figures Lisa Whelchel's 3 kids turned out too perfect. Plus, when Nancy McKeon finally quits and becomes a full time mommy, plus (I fear) a christian fundamentalist as Lisa Whelchel did a long time ago, she'll end up being just another has-been.

So because Nancy still talks to Lisa and happens to be pregnant with only her second child, that means she has given up acting and will become a Christian fundamentalist who home schools her children?

I think you're missing a step or two here buddy.

First off, Nancy has known Lisa for most of her life and Lisa has ALWAYS been very religious, even during FOL. If Nancy were about to turn into a Christian fundamentalist or be brainwashed by Lisa as you call it, it would have happened already. You can still be friends with someone even though you don't share the same beliefs. You can support their book writing endeavors even if it's not quite what you believe in.

Furthermore the roles Nancy has taken in recent years--particularly her role on "The Division" again goes quite against the grain of her being a Christian fundamentalist.

As far as acting, of course Nancy has been acting a bit less because she has a family and a two year old running around. She has not said anything in the least to make it sound like is ready to give it up--and I don't think she will because she has also always talked about how much she loves to act.

Will she work less? Probably. Will she probably not work until after her second child is born? Likely. But that's a far cry from what you are talking about.

She also has talked about how she didn't want to relive or talk about anything FOL or JO related at all, because she didn't want to be typecasted as Jo(let alone dress in Jo's clothes). Guess what? In May of this year, she changed her mind 180 degrees and attended a DVD promoting thing for FOL DVD and talked about her character Jo, and she didn't even mind being typecasted as Jo, either. She even dressed the same as her Jo character from later FOL seasons, too, during the FOL DVD promotions.

You are making up crap and putting words in her mouth. She never said she didn't want to talk about anything Jo or Facts. That is pure bull. In interviews she has always been asked about FOL and talked about it graciously. She has always said it was a great time and etc. Just because she didn't do the reunion and etc, didn't mean she never wanted to talk about the show again. All she ever said was she didn't care for reunion movies.

Of course she didn't want to by typecast, but now she's a 40 year old woman. A 40 year old woman is not going to be typecast as a tomboy teenage girl so it isn't something she has to worry so much about anymore. She didn't want to be typecast. She since has proved she hasn't been. Not such a big deal anymore.

She dressed the same as her character? She wore freaking jeans and a sweater. That's so unusual.

But like I said, I'm in the other post cause this is a rather dumb debate.

That's your opinion if you think this debate is dumb. Others haven't even had a chance to post on this one thread, yet. Do you even know Nancy McKeon personally? Nancy most likely has changed her mind about wanting to continue acting and most likely has given up acting for good, and about the typecasting, she doesn't even care if people only remember her as Jo. Back then, she may have not wanted to be typecasted as only Jo, but now she just doesn't mind it one bit.

Isn't everybody in The Facts of Life a has-been? Tell me one person in the Facts of Life who made it big(Molly Ringwald doesn't count because A. She was on their for one year and B. She's a has-been too).

Here's a word you'll see most IMDB users don't know about, no offense: Opinion.

I agree, I mean i like them all but none of them are really a-list celebs, because they all have families and such that they take care of, not saying that any other person doesn't take care of their kids.
