How do freaks like this ever become famous?

What a sad, sad reflection on society.

Oh, and now come all the claims of abuse, rape, and Nazi worship.

Thanks, society. I hope this freakshow gets put away for life.

1). Notwithstanding his appearance, Manson's music is high-quality. I've listened to rock music for a long time. Manson is top 5 imo.

2). He rose to fame during the 1990s, which was a time when society leaned towards pushing the envelope. The 1990s was the era of trash TV, America's Most Wanted, Celebrity Deathmatch, WWF's Attitude Era, Eminem etc. Manson was a product of the time

3). The Colombine massacre fallout did help get Manson some attention. Some of that attention was bad, but some of that attention was positive too. More people knew who he was after the massacre

reply

Manson was at fault for Columbine from attention seekers when in reality, people don't realize in school being bullied is the culprit of humanity's breaking point.

claims is correct because why would women continue with the relationship if it is that bad oh ya has been actresses and washed up models don't have anything better to do than exploit their sex lives to the media. I got spanked once as a kid, should i exploit that into an abuse scandal? My point being these scandals shouldn't get media attention but authorities attention during the time frame not 10 years later. Keep your sex lives private and move on.

reply

What the hell is wrong with you, that you think that covering up abuse and letting abusers get away with it is the right thing to do?

reply

She wasnt abused, why come forward now about it? They like scandals.

Well, 14 other women have come forward and said he was abusive to them, which would make any sensible person wonder if there really was something nasty going on in La Casa Manson.

reply

Whatever 14 other women said is irrelevant to HorrorReporters OP and your original reply though.

HP stated that it's considered "claims" right now, because in the USA it's "innocent until guilty" and what-not. Until anything gets determined to be fact, it's (what the law calls) "alleged".

They also mentioned that it's weird that she didn't consider it abuse until 10 years later (maybe some people see the statement as being in bad taste, but it's also an accurate one).

My favourite part of their post was where they said it would be best for abuse to be focused on more by the authorities at the time, than by the media a decade later.

Then you hit them with a strawman:
"What the hell is wrong with you, that you think that covering up abuse and letting abusers get away with it is the right thing to do?"

You literally misread almost the entirety of their post, decided what you thought it should mean, then argued against your own conclusions...not what the post actually said.

HP doubled down and asked why it would take so long if it wasn't just a scandal...so you "doubled down" (kind of) and switched from a strawman argument to just straight up changing the goalpost.

"Well...14 other women said this.."

Interesting. But the topic wasn't about what 14 women said, the topic was about what the ONE woman said. 10 years later. And how authorities should lock onto that instead of the media.

reply

Like I said, "people with sense" would realize that Manson might have a problem, but MRA trolls and paid publicists' interns don't have sense.

reply

I read what you said. That's how I was able to reply/comment. I couldn't very well have replied to something I didn't see.

In all honestly, it's the people with senselwho wait until the full stories are heard, or until allegations are proven before deciding whether or not something happened.

It's the people who lack sense who come to conclusions and make their own judgements.

It's kind of amusing to me, how a good chunk of my post was dedicated to how you were using strawman arguments between changing the goalposts, then you reply with something about "MRA trolls and paid publicists' interns". Which not only wasn't mentioned in this comment thread anywhere...it has little to nothing to do with the topic at hand.

It's nothing more than you just saying random shit and then commenting on that instead of the actual post lol.

reply

well said lol

reply

I'm sure to many people, YOU'RE a freakshow as well.

reply

That's how I've long felt about Steven (Frankenmonkey) Tyler. Him and his freak show are a pathetic excuse for a band. I don't like Marilyn Manson either. But I've heard some of "The Beautiful People" and was still able to listen to it without cringing. Aerosmith just makes me cringe and yell all the while my ears begin to bleed. They're horrible!
