Never cared for his music but I really admired the way he defended himself when he was unfairly blamed for the Columbine massacre and other school shootings, in his 1999 Rolling Stone article and interviews, he sounded so much smarter than the Republican politicians who just blamed violent movies and video game instead of the real enemy, the NRA, gun manufacturers and weak gun laws. The Republicans are all in the pocket of the NRA and don't care about innocent people getting killed, they just want to keep getting re-elected.
