Damnit, as soon as I saw this pop up in trending, I knew it had to be because he died.

Frasier is one of my top 2 favorite TV shows of all time, and it wouldn't have been quite as good without John's performance.

I thought the same thing. He was great in Frasier. It wasn't that long ago that I watched the episode where they rented a Winnebago and accidently ended up in Canada. One of my favorites.

I was just watching that episode today, itโ€™s one of my favorites. John did such a great job with his portrayal of Martin Crane.

I always liked him. One of my favorites.

Oddly, in what all are saying was the role he was mist known for (in Frasier), I never watched it.

A great career that started at the relatively late age of 40.

Rest peacefully John

Thank you for the link. I am so sorry to hear this. Such a lovely man.

So sorry to hear that. Such a talented and nice man. He was great as Frasier's dad. But the first role I remember him from was in "Moonstruck" when he was the guy who took an interest in Cher's character's mom, played by Olympia Dukakis.

My favorite sitcom. Here he is in his beloved chair on Frasier. May he RIP

I saw him on Frasier this weekend and wondered how he was doing. That's sad. 77 isn't THAT old.

For the longest time I had no idea he was from the UK either. He nailed the blue-collar American accent perfectly imo

RIP Mr. Mahoney
