Met him in real life - didn't take picture with me

I met Tobey in Austin Texas during SXSW.

I said, hey Tobey. Big fan. Can I get a photo with you?

He replies, "I'm cool."

He was hanging out with these 5'2 girls and i was surprised he wasn't hanging out with models or other people.

anyway, he's on the prada billboards all over the place here in Asia, but just thought he'd be nice enough to take a photo with me so i can post it on my Sina Weibo.

That's my Tobey story. =(

He's not obligated to take photos with every fan that asks him. That probably gets pretty old after a while. As long as he was polite about it, I think it's perfectly fine for him to say no.

First and foremost these people yeah famous pricks, actors, singers, celebs etc forget who paying their bills
yeah normal folks, people who nobody knows, well outside family circle, friends if you got any.
So yeah every time he says i'm cool, you should say well f you mister big guy, sorry for wasting all that money that you swim in by being your fan, these people some of them not even capable to wipe their own a.s.s. let alone do any real job like normal people and they can't give 5-10 secs of their time to take couple of pictures, pffffft i wish i had those problems...
Personally i never approached any celebs even when i had a chance, they are just some people we know, not really worth any extra attention we already give them, by watching, listening to their crap for the sake of entertainment.

I see you imagine that paying some bucks for a ticket should buy you the performers too. They are paid for their work, not to entertain you in their personal time as well. I wonder how would you react if you were famous, as you are so insulting and nasty as it is.... probably you would be the biggest prick of them all!

WTF! He should kill himself for having an opinion?! Grow up.

Because, one picture turns into 100. A lot celebrities have had bad experiences with some "fans" which is why they are hesitant. Saying no to a picture is no big thing. At least he was cool about it. Some are just rude.

But, see, acting is their job. They just happen to be very visible in their job. Also, some people are good about taking pics with kids, but not adults. They have people get their autograph, and suddenly it is on ebay. So, "fans" can be just as rude. They say that they are a HUGE fan, and all they want is a piece of the fame so they can make money. Just plain rude.

My fiance is good when he sees celebs. He will approach them, if it is possible and he is not intrusive, and just tell them he appreciates their work. It really is that simple.

As for my earlier comment, about one picture turning into 100? I was recently at Fleet Week in NYC, and I asked some sailors for a photo. Well, once I did, all these other people came up and wanted the same thing! They were polite and obliged, but they had to stop eventually and go on their way.

Buying a ticket also pays their salary. Without their fans, they would be nothing. It would take not even a minute, but some celebs are pricks, much like you. There are some celebs are gracious and some of them should use them as a example. He's not that big of a star to be a snob. Some huge stars are not snobs.
