shareStories are abundant in Hollywood. I heard she did the pilot to get a check expecting the show to not get picked up and that she believes the show killed her film career. We may never know all the facts.
shareAs I understand she was not led to believe she would be the star. She wanted to be the star. When she showed up for the first meeting, she made suggestions to make her role larger. Sherwood Schwartz supposedly responded with something similar to "It's called Gilligan's Island."
