Oscar?

I think she's a fantastic actress and I've loved her in just about everything I've ever seen of hers.
I wish she had actually received an Oscar for one of her performances, but the sad fact is that she hasn't.
Which performance of hers do you wish she'd won an Oscar for? Even more importantly, do you think she'll EVER actually get one? I just hope it's not like Kate Winslet where she gets an Oscar for one of my least favorite performances.

She's deserved an Oscar several times, for The Truman Show, You Can Count On Me, Love Actually and The Savages.

I'm confident she will win one eventually. She just hasn't gotten the right role in the right year yet. But she has loads of respect in the industry, when that one special role comes, she will win.

Don't forget The Life of David Gale. Her performance in that one took a lot of guts!

Of the roles she was nominated for I thought she was the best contender for both You Can Count on Me and Kinsey. I'd also say she deserved nominations, at the very least, for The House of Mirth and Love Actually (lousy film, but she's wonderful in it).

She is now a double Golden Globe winner, though; which I have heard is actually more prized within the acting commmunity than Oscars.
