i thought she was Annette O'Toole for a while

i got the two confused. But its quite strange how Laura Linney is remarkably beautiful. She has a small face/head with strong features. Its also the way her hair frames her face, almost like a strong Jodie Foster.

has she been a model for hair adverts?

You thought she was someone 12 years older? If I were Linney, I wouldn't consider that flattering at all. Anyway, I don't see any resemblance.
