Non-quotable Joker

Was Leto a good Joker? Quote a line.

Nicholson and Ledger had tons of quotable dialogue. People quoted their stuff, and their style, long after the movies left the theatres. I haven't watched Nicholson's Joker in a few years but I can easily quote several lines of his dialogue. Over a year since I've seen Ledger's Joker and I can quote him as well. Just throw out a "Why so serious?" and everyone in the room will recognize it.

I just watched the extended version of Suicide Squad and I can't recall a single thing Leto's Joker said.

Chalk it up to poor writing, but Leto's portrayal was two dimensional at best.

I'm not gonna kill ya. I'm just gonna heard you really bad.

Are you trying to sweet talk me.

reply

I can't wait to show you my toys (from the trailer).

Pretty good for someone who had less than 10 minutes screen time.

reply

See? I can't even recall these lines when they're quoted to me. That how completely unmemorable Leto's performance was.

Did he even have any toys? I can't recall.

But to be fair, I really didn't think anyone was all that memorable. Except Harley Quinn. I kept wondering why they brought her along. Was it a magic baseball bat?

The lines of the other characters were even worst. His lines weren't the worst but he had little screen time and little development.

"I'm an idea, state of mind

This sentence means that the Joker is the materialization of the destructive thought pattern of humanity. He is the result of the chaos generated by human minds.

That line was awful, corny, bad and he delivered as if he was thinking the words but it was clear he memorized them, and it wasnt like that btw, it was like Im an idea or more like a state of mind, not both, and it was random

I liked it !🌞

That was really the biggest problem and as much as he was mediocre perhaps it was really on the writers to give him some memorable lines. You would think writers would love writing lines for the Joker who's one of the most iconic characters but they couldn't think up a single memorable one.

THE ONE, THE ONLY HARLEY QUINN!!
