Very true. He can never be like Heath Ledger, also for the fact that he is pretentious.

He has some talent, but does seem pretentious. Sending co-stars weird gifts to convince everyone of "method actor" stripes. Gives rehearsed speeches/interviews...just seems insecure/vain.

I do not think they cut most of his work because as the op said he sucked, apparently he and robie werre stealing the show, they had too much of a good chemistry on screen and the focus from à terrible story was taken away, at least that what report says, by the way ledger had nothing to do with the joker and i trully liked the dark knight, just think the movie is over rated .

It was obviously an act of mercy when Ayers cut them. I've seen better Jokers on Halloween.

Maybe they tried too hard to do "creepy crazy" that KL did. KL was a mysterious amazingly crazy criminal. JL'd Joker is a psychopathic gangster. No mystery and no amazing. Missing the "amazingly crazy" as in super smart but crazy combo. KL still the best so far. Like JN's Joker.

Look who is the epitome of moral and oral skills? He is definitely not more pretentious than you are. If he rehearses speeches? Probably, but nobody is a natural speaker and writer like you, whose eloquence comes as natural as the air that enters in your lungs.

Most of the best speakers rehearse and that's why they are the best.

I have absolutely no interest in the film except to see Leto as Joker. I really wasn't impressed with the Dark Knight series and I feel Leto would capture the Joker perfectly. Heck, I thought the kid who played Joker in Gotham was better than Ledger. I still have yet to see SS but I'm disappointed to hear Leto isn't the main character. I really seems like they used him just to advertise the film. It's false advertising because people like myself were/are expecting to see him more
