This lady needs some posts

Personally, I'm a total fan; I think she has a strong screen presence and she's also pretty. I like her name as well. My favorite Kay Lenz film? Probably "Moving Violation" though I'm fond of "Breezy" and "Stripped to Kill" too.

reply

I only know her from House but she’s a total babe!

reply

I knew she was a character actor from the 70s and 80s but damn her acting credits go back to the sixties. She was on the Andy Griffith show in 1967.

She's done well for herself.

reply

Her appearance in Rod Stewart's "Infatuation" video is legendary and her body was peak level.

reply

I sort of recall her as a kid in the 70's. I recall she made a cameo on Mr. Belvedere. I saw on her Wiki page she only married one time, to David Cassidy. But it could be incorrect. Her mom was a radio engineer. That was a rare career for women in that era.

reply

I think that marriage to David Cassidy was her only marriage, and no children; I guess she's lived something of a self-contained life (my aunt & uncle never had children, so that can happen). I agree, her career and general approach is pretty rare for her era; maybe she knew what she wanted, was aware of her limitations, and lived according to that.

reply

Lots of married couples choose to be child-free. It doesn't mean they're "self-contained". It just means they're not interested in children.

reply

Yeah, that's true, I mean "self-contained" in the sense that it seems that Kay Lenz found that marriage didn't suit her (I don't know how she feels about kids), and wanted to make her life choices independently (focused on her career, maybe realizing she can meet her goals just fine on her own). As for children, I think it varies (my aunt & uncle babysat me a few times and took me on a few trips; my mother and I feel that I was their test case on if they wanted children or not, and decided from that having a kid wasn't for them. I do know how they feel about kids:-) and is a totally different subject altogether (a person can want/have a child, but not include a partner to share in that, or vice versa, of course). Heck, as of this moment my marriage/children resume is the same as Kay Lenz's: one marriage, no children (briefly a stepdad through marriage).

reply

Is that why they divorced? On her Wiki page, it stated rumors of David's drinking was the reason, but she denied it. Does anyone recall if their divorce was nasty or civil. Was it in the news at all? I was surprised he divorced Sue. They were married a long time. Many of his fans resent her, but what else is new.

reply

Self contained is as good a description as any. Stop being such a nit picker.

reply

Thank you, Quasimodo, I didn't see what the big deal was anyway. Besides, I like it when people (famous or regular, though with the way communication is nowadays, I feel almost everyone reaches some level of celebrity) pursue life on their own terms, which it appears that Kay Lenz has.

reply

They did get married in their 20's. I recall reading in David's memoir , she was dealing with the death of her father as well when they met. In the PF or DC biopic, they met on a movie set. Maybe they were not ready for kids. To each their own.

reply

Yeah, I agree, since we just don't know the details of if either of them were interested in having kids, it's such as an unknown.

WILLIAM KATT'S EX WIFE IN HOUSE...I LOVE HOUSE.

reply

I too know her (mostly) from House. I also know her from Prisoners of the Lost Universe in which she starred opposite Richard Hatch.
