Cloris Leachman is a lovely and accomplished actress.
I've always been surprised she didn't have a stage name given to her, like so many performers of her generation.
Or maybe she was pressured towards a stage name, and just resisted.

I had an old boss whose wife and he had a baby girl while I was working there.
Their last name began with a D, and I always thought they should have named her Dorcas.
Would have had a nice ring to it, Dorcas Davenport, or Dorcas Duncan, or Dorcas Deeds.
But she would have been crucified in school. They named her Haley.
