Why so few film projects?

Is he just interested in staying in television?

GoonGirl for Hire

reply

I don't think it's his decision...

He says that in film there's too much away time from family and he wants to be there to tuck his kids in at night. I think that plus his kid being sick cemented his decision. He could be in movies but i don't think that's his passion.

reply

To be honest, he is certainly not ask in movies, even for supporting part.

reply

How do you know that? Are you his agent?

reply

He tried and failed.

reply

Why are sitcom people expected to be in movies but Noone ever says anything about movie stars not being a lead in a tv show?

Ben Affleck, brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, ....the list goes on and on.

reply

Because TV work, especially broadcast TV work, is a BIG step down from film.

reply

Did you forget about Billy Bob Thorton ( Fargo), Kathy Bates ( American Horror Story)??

reply

You missed the point. The two actors you mentioned have started in both film and movie.

The people I mentioned have not been in more that 5 or 6 episodes of a tv their whole entire career and no one ever says "why don't they star as a lead in a tv series?"......But people who only star in a tv series are labeled losers and poor actors because they haven't been in a movie.

Why do they need to do both? Why are you a failure if you only do 1 and not both?

Just like when actors go a few years in between a show or movie they are ridiculed about not being able to find work or having bad agents. Why doesn't anyone think that maybe the time off was their choice? Maybe they haven't found something they like....maybe they aren't even looking...maybe they are waiting for the right thing, etc.
