Harvey Weinstein told Peter Jackson not to hire Mira Sorvino or Ashley Judd for "Lord of the Rings"

Although I don't know why he'd consider either of them in the first place, there are only three decent female roles in LOTR and Judd and Sorvino weren't suitable for any of them.

Which provides a partial answer to a big unanswered question about Weinstein and the sexual harassment scandal - if an actress turned down his advances, did he damage their careers?

Which is a surprisingly difficult question to answer, because an actor never really knows why their career ups and downs happen. If they get no offers is it because they aren't good enough, or because they have enemies working behind the scenes, or some other factor? So since an actor would never be sure if Weinstein was trying to ruin them, and Weinstein would never admit it if he did, we'll never really know if all these gals were right to be afraid of refusing his advances.

Unless, of course, other industry bigwigs come out and admit that they were pressured or influenced to blacklist actresses who wouldn't play ball with Harvey. I suppose this is as much proof as we're ever going to get.
