shareI am intensely prejudiced against Michael Jackson. He was a mentally-ill freak who went to horrifying lengths to mutilate his face and skin color. He was a psychopathic child molester. As if that wasn't bad enough, his music was the most overrated banal pop junk of the past half century. The sooner he's forgotten the better. His records and CDs should all be used for skeet shooting.

If you admit that you're "intensely prejudiced" against MJ, then you have also admitted that you really don't know anything about him. Then you kept proving that even further again and again in that one post alone. How pathetic...

How is it you love someone so passionately that you never knew, and who never knew you?
I'm not attacking him.
It seems to be impossible to explain why you love a celebrity to a person, who has no similar experience themself. You just do.
And as for you not attacking him... You seem to wanna make the whole world believe that he was a child molester. Why? Even if all the ugly allegations were true, what is the point of bringing that up now when he passed away ten years ago? The man is gone and can't be hold responsible for whatever he did or didn't do.
IMO it's not possible to love someone you don't know. Knowing someone is integral to loving them. I've had a few people say they love me when they've only known me a short time and don't really know me at all. It feels empty because there's no love there to feel.
I think that's one of the reasons MJ felt as lonely, isolated, and depressed as he did. He never allowed anyone to know him, or to really know anyone else, although I think he yearned for both.
There can be admiration for things you do know about them, respect, or infatuation and idolatry.
I'm just one person of many posting on a small movie site. That's hardly doing anything to the whole world.
I do, now, finally, believe he was a child molester, and it's crazy so many of us turned our heads, refusing to believe and see what was right in front of our eyes the whole time. Some of it's not our fault because little was known about grooming. Well, now we know, and will be able to recognise and do something about it if we see it again.
That's the point of it. That and there are many people out there whose lives have been severely damaged as a result, and they're alive.
BTW, I believe MJ was a victim of sexual abuse when he was a child too, although I don't know who did it. This is in addition to the emotional and physical abuse he suffered and became damaged by at the hands of his father, and the neglect of his mother.
