White Lillies Island

Does anyone else think LERFT OF THE MIDDLE was excellent? I do

Does anyone else think that her second album WHITE LILLIES ISLAND was really strange and creppy? I did the whole thing was strange and the lyrics were very, very strange...

I think that White Lilies Island has been her most intimate album to date. I personally love it and find nothing strange or creepy about it. The lyrics are so poetic. I kinda feel like we're getting a glimpse into her soul.

I know that may sound stupid, but I feel like each song has a little bit of her emotions. It's just a truly moving album for me.

I think White Lilies Island was a bit more down-to-earth and more organic and orchestral than Left of The Middle.

Note that Left of The Middle relied mainly on electronica, synth and dance-pop beats while White Lilies Island had more live instruments and an edgier rock sound. I love the songs on the album: it is truly a beautiful album but don't get me wrong: Left of The Middle was pretty decent as well.

I think I prefer Left of the Middle overall, but I love 'Come September' off White Lilies Island, probably one of my favorite songs by her.

White Lillies Island although poppy in sound definitely had some dark and melancholy themes to it.

Left of the Middle was a good album, but White Lillies Island was amazing. How anyone can think Beauty on the Fire was creepy or strange is beyond me. That is probably one of the most sensual, beautiful songs ever written/sung.

White Lilies Island is a great album that contains some of her best material - Beauty on the Fire, Everything Goes, Do You Love?, Wrong Impression, Goodbye, Sunlight, Hurricane, Come September. Left of the Middle is a great album, but I think she really found her voice on the follow-up.
