Weird IMDb profile photo

So, I’m just watching Jumanji and simultaneously checking out cast on IMDb.

I noticed Bonnie’s photo but at first I didn’t pay that much attention to the name under it. I recognized a little girl on the photo as Ashleigh Aston Moore and was thinking: “oh, I don’t remember she was in Jumanji.” Then I realized it was Bonnie’s profile photo. And funnily enough that’s exactly what it shows, literally her profile.

I don’t understand the choice of the photo, you can barely see her face from the side. She is not recognizable and the girl with her is more noticeable.

Is it a homage to her young co-star from “Now and Then” who sadly passed at young age of 26?
