Valerie Harper suffering from 'severe aphasia'

According to 'family sources' , actress Valerie Harper is now suffering from 'severe aphasia' , and is bedridden at home with 24/7 care. The actress “has lost the ability to understand or express speech”, say the sources. They're keeping the faith that she will live long enough to reach her 80th Birthday on August 22.
Harper was diagnosed in January 2013 with terminal cancer, and was given just three months to live. But the actress did all that she could to beat the illness, and spent over $3M in out-of-pocket expenses for alternative treatments and an experimental drug — including a pill that costs $1,000 and she needed to take at least ten a week.
Last week, her husband of forty years posted on her Facebook page that her illness has gotten worse, but he will not put her in a hospice facility as doctors advise.
Said another source, husband Tony Cacciotti “wants to make sure she is in surroundings she is comfortable with. If she can live last days looking out over the ocean, he’d rather her do it at home, not a facility. He wants her to see the waves, be in her kitchen, know her bedroom.”
The family has also started a 'Go Fund Me' page to defray the costs of her on-going medical care.
