She deserves more powerful, mighty, compelling and main roles.

OK, after seeing her in a lot of roles in TV and cinema... I have to say it: this actress is full of charisma, ripeness and presence .

So, I can picture her perfectly starring in a TV procedural drama, with the type of roles Sedwick had in "The Closer", Close in "Damages" (Marcia Gay Harden was great in that show too by the way, but her role didn't make her justice).

So why is she not getting this opportunities? or is it that she doesn't want to devote herself in such way?

Because, lets be honest... I don't know how it is said in english but... tiene madera . It could be something truly exquisite to see her starring in that kind of a role.

Don't get me wrong. She was great in many roles (and I think she has a deserved Oscar... she was also Oscar worthy in "Mystic River"). But is overpost to see her playing "the mother", "the wife", "the sister, "the aunt" for some minutes when she deserves way more. She and the audience.

Maybe it's a Hollywood thing and its obsession with young actresses. If she was Spanish and lived in Spain, she could have now the juicy roles on screen and great star status such actresses as Carmen Maura or Adriana Ozores have here.
