Ideas for next movie...

Assuming our usual suspects will be conjuring up yet another masterpiece, what situation would you like to see them in this time? Obviously, since music is obviously a strong point with many of the actors, perhaps they could do something in this direction (again). Personally, I'd like to see more Spinal Tap. Bring DiBirgi back, assuming the band has forgiven him, and I think Guest could come up with something great...

How about the usual suspects as Spinal Tap groupies following the band around during its "where are they now" period from the movie. Sad people following an even sadder band around the country from small auditoriums to amusement parks to air force bases. Seeing Harry, Christopher, and Michael in dual roles might be fun too. Or perhaps they could just show up as the Folksmen.

The DVD commentary is a 'where are they now'. Check it out if you haven't yet.

"...and that's all I have to say about that."

I like the premise of this idea, although I'm not sure they'd go back to the same characters again. But it definitely seems like a fanclub, with all its obsessive characters, would be a ripe target for this kind of humour.

I'd have to agree with that actually. As a long time fan, I was very glad to hear the commentary of the characters, rather than that of the actual actors.

Christopher Guest HAS to re-join forces with Rob Reiner. I believe that they definitely need each other now...

I think it could ve kinda interessting to see the do a stand-up thingy, you know a film about a stand up competition or something...

I was thinking that Chris should try to get Rob Reiner to get involved again. I would love for Rob to appear in the next Guest/Levy film. The rumors I am hearing from the A Mighty Wind board is that Eugene and Catherine are interesting in reprising their sctv roles of Bob Bittman and Lola Heatherton. This idea has the potential to lead to a great film.
