How The HELL Are There No Posts Here?

The guy is 79 years old, and still going like a house afire! When YOU’RE 79, do you think you’ll look like he does? He kicks ASS on Daredevil! I mean, hello: Urban Cowboy, The Right Stuff, Personal Best, Nashville, Apocalypse Now? In addition to his machismo, in addition to his skill at timing the delivery of his lines, he has an acerbic wit (in his facial expressions even if not in the lines of his dialogue) that is endearing. The younger Harrison Ford (as the younger Indiana Jones and Han Solo) had the same quality. So ‘happly I am alone in my appreciation of Scott Glenn. To quote Walt Whitman from Song Of Myself, “I celebrate myself and sing myself.” If I must sing my appreciation of Scott Glenn alone so be it; but, to quote Scott’s in-character reference as Astronaut Alan Shepherd in The Right Stuff of comedian Bill Dana’s impersonation of a Latino man named Jose Jimenez, “Oh, I hope not.”

Not for nothing, The Right Stuff should have EASILY taken the Oscar for Best Picture. If you are a US citizen, watch it today and tell me that it doesn’t move you and make you proud. There were (and are) real heroes in this world.

And tell me that you don’t want to look like Scott Glenn at age 79. The guy’s ab muscles are still striated, and he has no gut.

He seems to pop up in many good shows these days, the Leftovers, Daredevil and I'm just now watching him in Castle Rock. He always ends up being my favourite character. He looks amazing for his age and he has this really cool laidback attitude, he's a badass, love the guy.

I am watching Sucker Punch for the first time since I saw it when it was released; and, sure enough, Scott plays the Wise Man and just perfect for the part. If they wouldn’t use Bruce Lee (a crime AND a sin) as the lead in Kung-Fu, why the hell didn’t they cast this guy?! Probably because Carradine was ‘WAY cheaper back then.
