Unproduced Peter Fonda movie

I just came across a snippet in a movie magazine from 1976 where it said Peter Fonda was going to do a movie in France with Jim Mitchum called Cars of Apocalypse. I'm presuming that this movie didn't get made but I'm intrigued by the idea of what it might have been like. Anyone got any more extra info on this?

I can relate to that. I remember reading in the 70's when their careers had taken off that Clint Eastwood and Robert Redford were goinng to do a western about Bufflao Bill. A little later, Redford pulled out because he said he wanted a break from westerns. Such possibilities are always intreaguing.
