She has no talent

Why did the producer sign her for acting contract? Becoz she has skinny legs? She acted so childish in the movies

The camera loves her face with those Hollywood eyes. But her acting never stood out at all I agree.

Mia Farrow was probably cast for roles because she looked like the "It Girl" of the time, Twiggy, right down to the waifish body, big eyes and boyish hair. That's all. If she had looked differently, I doubt she would've had much of a career.

She was great in Rosemary's baby.

Her best roles were "Rosemary's Baby", "Secret Circle", "The Great Gatsby" - as I said in a different thread, she was such a great Daisy because she practically is her - and the great Woody Allen films. I did think she was a great antithesis of Billie Whitelaw's role in "The Omen".

Actually, she does have one talent: latching onto a successful man and eventually unloading him after she's used him for everything she could use him for.

But how did she LAND these ultra-successful men as mates to begin with? Frank Sinatra could have had virtually any woman he wanted, yet he chose her above all others. Wonder why?

In my opinion Mia's best performance is in "Full Circle" ("the haunting of Julia")...she's awesome and touching in this film...underrated, and recommended to people who like "Don't look now" and "the changeling".

What a bunch of ignorant morons! Farrow isn't playing with a full deck (and hasn't for years), but she is TERRIFIC
in "Rosemary's Baby" and in all the 13 films she did with Allen. Their last film, 1992's "Husband's and Wives" is
among their best, and she gives a great performance.

To Allen's credit, despite all she has done to destroy his reputation and career, he has always praised her acting.

I agree; she was great in "Rosemary's Baby" and I have always enjoyed her work in Woody's films. She does have plenty of issues, none of which have anything to do with her acting talent.

She probably has always been a bit crazy which some men probably find highly attractive. I believd the famous incident involvng Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in '68 was a complete misunderstanding from a girl coming out of a TM trance. She expresses confusion about it in her autobiography and doesn't allege any overt sexual advances from Maharishi. Although a lot of Woody Allen fans prefer his zanier 70's work, his films in the 80's are perhaps more mature and structured, due in no small measure to Mia Farrow's presence as his muse. Many of the details in "Alice" are derived from Farrow's own experiences that Allen weaved into the screenplay. "Husbands and Wives" is a film I firmly predict will be thought of in the future as one of Allen's best films with wonderful performances from all the cast. Allen's final argument with Farrow in that film has a power and immediacy in it that really does look like a couple disintegrating before our eyes and one can't help but wonder how much it was overlapping with their own real life experiences at that time.
