Goodbye all - Messages boards to close (IMDB sucks)

I can't believe this. End of an era. Just when Faye starts working again. We've all waited so long for Hand of God and Inconceivable etc, and now we won't even get to discuss these projects when they're released. I've made some great friends on these boards - now it's all gone. Most of my Faye news I found on these boards from very informed people. You won't be able to personal message anyone either so you've got two weeks to contact those you want to stay in contact with.

IMPORTANT: IMDb is the world's most popular and authoritative source for movie, TV and celebrity content. As part of our ongoing effort to continually evaluate and enhance the customer experience on IMDb, we have decided to disable IMDb's message boards on February 20, 2017. This includes the Private Message system. After in-depth discussion and examination, we have concluded that IMDb's message boards are no longer providing a positive, useful experience for the vast majority of our more than 250 million monthly users worldwide. The decision to retire a long-standing feature was made only after careful consideration and was based on data and traffic

IMDB says we should use their facebook page or twitter feed. But you can't discuss specific actors or films on these sites. IMDB will never be the same.

I agree, IMDb is making a horrible mistake! Either they will have to reverse this decision, or it will go the way of Qwickster from Netflix!

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

I appreciate you so much and I will visiting your facebook. You have been the source of so much great stuff and we will continue the conversation somewhere, somehow!

What a stupid decision from IMDb!

Where are we going to migrate to continue to discuss Faye? We have to find another place, it's great for me to interact with all of you and I don't it to stop! Any ideas?

reply

I'm with you. We must find a place to continue the discussions. I am open to any ideas.
