I'm not sure, but I'm 100% sure that's the reason people here are taking such pleasure in her misfortune.
The fact that almost every single post here mentions her sexuality pretty much confirms it. Lesbian privilege, shoving it down our throats, ellen degenerate.... you know what I mean because you're jumping on board with this very post.
Let's just say if there is a privilege it might make up for the majority of her life that she and her fellow gay people had no rights or protections at all. Not that I think there is. It's already been mentioned that James Corden may have been approached to replace her, so I think everyone knows she's not untouchable or irreplaceable. I doubt there would be calls of homophobia if she was sacked, especially after such a sustained media backlash. It will be "the bitch got what she deserved" even though there may be some, like your good self, who will allow themselves a private smile of satisfaction that another dirty reprobate is out of their face.
I take pleasure in her misfortune because the rumours have been there for years and it's finally being addressed. I remember during the writer's strike her show was still on and was still being written by her writers. A bunch of writer came out and said that she was forcing them to work and not allowed to strike.

I don't care that she is a lesbian, but I question how she was allowed to be on air for this long without any investigations. I really feel people are scared to take her off the air in fear they'll get called homophobic.

Maybe you should read the issues the workers brought up. I have no problem treating lazy workers like shit to get rid of them... but apparently there was lots of sexual harassment going on including male bosses trying to get dudes under them, so frankly if you don't see that as a toxic fucking environment then I don't know what is.
