i barely remember the show. only saw it when it first aired and as too young. i remember johnathon winters the most if anything.

You're right after that first season the show was done. I was 13 in 1978 and never missed an episode but in 1979 I think they moved the time slot and made a lot of changes so I never watched again. Decades later Fred Silverman(who moved from ABC to NBC in 79) said he would have never let them change time slots and they ruined the show.
Also, I believe back then whenever a new season started there were dozens of new shows that were enticing to watch. Network TV was at it's absolute height so we were salivating over all the new possibilities. A show like Mork could become a has been overnight, which unfortunately it did.
I vaguely recall Jonathan Winters was introduced as M&M’s “baby” who aged in reverse. If that wasn’t a jumping-the-shark plot development, I don’t know what is. Just embarrassing.
