One of favorite actors

Not only is he a genius actor,he is extremely smart across the board. Daring and unafraid he takes his characters beyond what,I think they were often intended, with amazing results.

His Dickie Bennett from Justified is so good,he stole all the scenes he was in. Same in lost..a character that could have gone largely unnoticed became one of the favorites of the series. Everything I have seen him do seems to go beyond the confines of the original character. He has this twinkle in his eye, that seems to say...I own this,I am this....

Even some of the true greats will look to be acting from time to time...Maybe editing or weird directing. But,so far Jeremy seems to be doing anything but acting, which is the real challenge, isn't it? Maybe because is really IS one of our greats

He should be getting leading roles, but Hollywood, and they are smart enough to know how audiences respond to looks...reserve most of those to a few,who are sometimes exceptional and sometimes worthy only of the cringe we are all familiar with, because that have that certain semetry that allows us to overlook what we might not in an actor, man or woman, who is not a10 on the impossible scale. Too bad. And Jeremy is a great looking guy...he isn't a big muscle Channing Tatum, but then,boring...I think he is suppose to be a really nice guy..and he is becoming a decent actor! Just an obvious example...

And I get that some don't care for him..I am not a fan of say Jack Nicholson, for no good reason. He is a great actor, but I always see him as doing the same character..which isn't really fair..just don't care for him...so to those who,for whatever reason don't get it...that's what makes the world go round,I guess...I look forward to his next adventure.

I totally agree with your post. Watching Twister now and there was a slew of talented actors in a mediocre movie. I loved him in Lost but also appreciated his work in Million Dollar Hotel and Solaris. Quirky and otherworldly is how I would describe his work.
