This man is a dating enigma

I have absolutely nothing against the fact that he is gay or bisexual, or whatever, but I had no idea bisexuals could date lesbians. Saffron Burrows, really?

Haha, just found this one wiki.

In a 2003 interview, Alan Cumming said, "I was really lucky that the first relationship I had after [my divorce] was with Saffron, who's really... understanding and a broadminded person. And who's now... As I'm sure you know ... Well. She bats for both teams, too."

Lol, bet that was a kinky open relationship...

In what universe does bisexual = non-monogamous?

The vast majority of bisexual people I know are just as monogamous as most straight people. Bisexuality means that you're attracted to both, not that you don't have self-control or that you have a desire to screw anything that moves.

A bisexual person has a broader pool to pick a partner from, certainly, but it doesn't mean that they're going to go for more than one at a time.

Honestly, grow up and get out more. What you're saying is just perpetuating a nasty and totally unfounded stereotype.

I so wish there was a +1 button or something. I totally agree with everything you said, and thank you for saying it.

@elenari-queen: Oh, sweety, I believe it's you who needs to get out more, so you could learn a few more things about life. For example: if someone declares him/herself as bisexual, they are, in fact, saying that they are attracted to both sexes. No problem there. My original post said "I didn't know they (bisexuals, in this case, a bisexual MAN) can date a lesbian". You see, a problem here is not in a fact that he might be bisexual, but in fact that she claims to be lesbian (which, from my humble knowledge means that she is a woman attracted to other WOMEN). See what just happened there?

Well, "sweety", I'm in fact a bisexual woman in a monogamous relationship with a bisexual man. So I think I'm fairly well-educated about life in this regard, thank you.

My response was actually to the person below you who was all "hurr hurr hurr" about what a kinky open relationship they must've had if they both regarded themselves as bisexual while in a relationship. (Which Saffron probably did while dating him, or straight and did not yet realize her attraction to women at that stage... sexuality can be fluid.)

So perhaps it would've served you better to read the rest of the responses and comprehend the context of my statement before making yourself sound like a needlessly condescending douchebag. Looks like your user name is amusingly accurate.

Love ya! Mean it!

Agreed. It's in the same narrow minded approach that makes people believe homosexual means paedophile (see 'Any Day Now').

I find it really amazing (beyond words) that we can become so advanced and yet so narrow minded. How can we be responsible for putting man on the moon, or flying faster than the speed of sound. How can we have the technology where I can write this to you and have no idea where you are, but know that you'll probably read it and live in a world where being black, homosexual or religious for that matter is worth of attack.

Interestingly, the 'kinky' comment is akin to paraphelia, meaning outside of 'normal'. Yet we can't really define 'normal' can we?

Additionally, even if it was non-monogomous (which I'm not saying it is), who is being affected? Only those involved. It's their choice.
