The rest of Britain should boycott his films and shows (and the same would apply to Connery if he was still making films today). If they hate the rest of Britain so much they shouldn't expect any love in return.

The fact that he now lives and works elsewhere, does not mean that he does not want the occupying forces of England off his homecountry. It's not like he was born in a different country and supported that cause.

I live in the town of Motherwell, just last week it was announced that the last steel plant was going to be closed, one of the reasons being given that the SNP gave a contract for the steel for a new Forth road bridge was given to China on the basis on their steel is cheap despite knowing full well the risk to Scottish jobs. As for Cumming, a few years ago I was on a college course with a guy whose girlfriend was attending the drama school that he gone to. The reputation he had left behind was of someone whose acting skills were in no doubt but his interpersonal ones left much to be desired.

You're disparaging his reputation because of something you heard second or third hand about his reputation at college...some 30 years ago?

Instead of independence the Scots should band together with Ulster, the Welsh and the Cornish and build a twenty foot wall around England and turn it into a prison. Given the actions of the English over the last thousand years, the world would thank them profusely for it.
