What happened to Joan's first adopted son Christopher?

I understand he wrote a book around 1990. Anybody know his name, and the name of the book?

The one she returned before getting another son she named "Christopher"?

I don't know.

Christopher #2, of course, the one we "know," died ten years ago.

He died of cancer in 2006.

I believe the OP is referring to the first little boy JC adopted, whose mom eventually took him back.

He was named Christopher, as well.
