Awful lot of people happy to see an old black guy in chains...

Not defending him, just saying, was he the ONLY celebrity doing this?

reply

I am in no way happy to see him in jail, although I believe he belongs there.

What I don't like is people drawing easy conclusions to complicated situations.
Cos may have been an idiot and maybe a lot of innocent women were hurt, but at this point in time, with everything the guy did to entertain us, treating him like a common criminal seems wrong. He's an old man who may have made mistakes, and I don't give him a pass, but much of what I see here seems hateful and vindictive and make him to be an easy target. Not a good look for the compassion and understanding of humanity.
Even if he has to do the time for the crime, I don't understand why some people want to revel in the consequences. It's like they are happy he did something bad so they can pile on over it.

What does his having entertained (some of) us have to do with his harming the lives of a lot of innocent women and getting away criminal activity for decades? 🤷‍♀️

Do the crime, do the time. Being entertaining has nothing to do with it.

Well said. There is a racist undertone to the Me Too movement. Suddenly the casting couch becomes a criminal offense 50 years retroactively.

. . . celebrity doing this?

Lolz!

You could waterboard every Federal elected official, dirty law enforcement agent, security service suck-up, every pedo judge and drone bureaucrat, down to state and local officials, much less everyone in Hollywood, and you still probably haven't even scratched the surface.

I mean, waterboarding still ain't torture, right?

Give me a break with the celebrity thing. Yeah, he was drugging and banging whores who were hoping for a 'leg-up' in the industry - take a number, get in line.

This place is a joke run by criminals on behalf of a shit god.

reply

If anyone would know what shit is, you would be he.

Ignore

Yes he's 12 years a slave. Am I the only one who sees that most of those the Me Tooers are going after are minorities: black, Jewish, etc? I'm not saying Cosby is innocent, but should America's Dad be imprisoned for life because of Howard Stern's twin's allegation? Yes, some of the stories are true, but Me Tooers are so over the top, and many allegations are false.

Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose, Tony Robbins, Scott Baio, Garrison Keillor, Roy Moore, Jeffrey Tamboor, Kevin Spacey?

reply

I love the Coz just like everyone else used to. But he needs to be held accountable for his actions, so therefore does belong in prison. There is a good new podcast called Chasing Cosby which pretty much makes a rock solid case against him. I mean I'm probably one of the more skeptical people of Me Too out there, but I believe in his case it's true. However. That doesn't nullify his legacy of a great career on TV, movies, etc. As far as the others, Weinstein is probably the 2nd worst, but many of the others' offenses are way overblown. I mean Dustin Hoffman, Al Franken, Charlie Rose, Garrison Keillor, Morgan Freeman and the ever growing list of ever more minor things. Change my mind!
