Does anyone else wonder if the murder of Bill Cosby's son had to do with his sexual abuse?

Yes OP, after attending an event where Cosby was the guest of honor, a month or so after his son's murder, I had thought the murder was in retaliation.

I remember going into the event assuming it was a random murder and had put that aside because the event had nothing to do with his son's death or his personal life. I am not a reporter and wasn't going there to dig for information. But as I was leaving the event I had this sickening feeling that his son's murder was in retaliation when I hadn't given that a second thought prior to attending the event. The event had nothing to do with his sons murder though, and was not a topic of discussion. I was, however, very sad that a wonderful young man lost his life.

But at the time I didn't know what Cosby had done that was so horrible to drive someone to retaliate against him by taking his only son and favorite child, Ennis, who btw, was the only one with a PhD at the time. Having a son with the highest level degree one could earn was a huge thing to Cosby, a status symbol that was better than wealth. He was beyond proud of Ennis especially considering Ennis had a learning disability that wasn't properly diagnosed for years. Taking Ennis from him was the worst thing that could have happened.

By the early 90's I knew Cosby had had many extramarital affairs but I didn't know anything about the drugging and rapes of all these women. So I couldn't figure out why someone would murder his son in retaliation for him having an affair with their wife. I felt strongly that the murder was a retaliatory act but couldn't understand or pinpoint exactly why until the rape accusations were finally made public.

So when the story broke about the drugging and rapes, and the women came forward decades later, I figured that was the reason for the retaliation --- for what Cosby did to their daughter. That made much more sense than retaliation for fucking someone's wife, and that is when it all started to make more sense to me.

I also think Cosby was immediately aware that it was retaliation upon receiving the (every parents' worst nightmare) call from the LAPD that his son was dead since he had received death threats (against him and his family) before Ennis was murdered. Actually, a friend of the Cosby family called on behalf of the LAPD. But I guess he couldn't say anything about the death threats or go to the police about the threats without letting the cat out of the bag, so to speak.

I think they claimed it was a robbery to cover up that it was some sort of retaliation because that would make his son's death his fault. But the "robber" didn't steal the $3,000 Rolex watch Ennis was wearing or the wad of cash in his wallet. Anyway, all of this is my opinion, pure speculation. I doubt we will ever know the truth.

[R10] Cosby was drugging/raping women all throughout the 70's and some as far back as the 60's as well, and a few said it was as late as the 80's. So yes, he was drugging/raping women long before Ennis was murdered, and some victims before Ennis was even born. That was established as the women came forward, one by one, and told their story.

I agree, he's a psychopath with a deep, intense hatred of women.

As I said I think Ennis' murder was in retaliation and it was the only/best way for the parents of one of the victims (who may or may not have come forward) to get revenge on Cosby for what he did to their daughter. It is also possible that their daughter didn't survive the drugging and rape, or she did survive it but was unable to cope with the trauma and committed suicide years later and they had no way to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Cosby was responsible. I think maybe they felt their daughter suffered and he should suffer or that they lost their daughter over something they couldn't prove and wanted him to know what it feels like to lose a child --- revenge.

So Cosby was never held accountable and the parents took matters into their own hands and sought the best revenge they could come up with, all while Cosby knew who had his son murdered and why his son was murdered but couldn't do anything about it or take any kind of action. I just sensed when I left that event that his sons' murder had to do with retaliation and seeking revenge but couldn't figure out who would want that kind of revenge on Cosby because at the time I only knew he was cheating on his wife and didn't know he was drugging and raping young women.

If this is true it needs to be traced back to the source...since the supposed murderer was apprehended.

I doubt there's any connection between son Ennis's death and Cosby raping women. Ennis was killed in 1997 during a botched robbery attempt by Mikhail Markhasev. Markhasev admitted to killing Ennis in 2001, asking that all his appeals stop.

reply

Yes, and the way that went down was so random, Ennis cannot have been targeted or stalked--he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

reply

If someone wanted revenge for a rape and knew where to find hit men, why kill innocent Ennis and not Cosby himself?

Because leaving Cosby alive left him free to assault more women. It's just not logical.

The one thing that caught up to Bill Cosby is Karma. Yes, it's sad and tragic his son died..by all accounts Ennis was a sincere and great person, something his father is not.
Bill got away with raping women for decades but Karma has attacked him with full force in his waning years.
1. He's been put on trial 2 separate times.
2. He's been convicted of Sexual Assault.
3. He's under house arrest
4. He is supposed to be sentenced to PRISON within 90 days(although I'll agree this may never happen)
5. His wife left him.
6. His reputation and legacy are not just tarnished. It's RUINED FOREVER!
Karma is a b!t c h that eventually slapped Bill Cosby down HARD!

Wow...I had no idea about his wife!

I don't think she actually did leave him. The stories claimed that she took off to their estate in Massachusetts and took all of the staff. I suspect she's getting things in order to preserve their finances and if they do get divorced then she will get everything and they will still stay together. I don't think he's going to live that much longer to be honest.

reply

So she's filing for divorce as some sort of safety precaution, not to leave him?

reply

She hasn’t filed as of yet, or we’d have heard about it. It’s just a hunch on my part, that she might since he’s got so many people suing him. Now with the guilty verdict it will be harder than ever to get those cases dismissed.

And yes, I think it would be a sham divorce. She has always staunchly defended him.

reply

If she does file it would be to protect his fortune, if that's possible, and I have no idea how putting assets in her name or the childens' names would affect the coming lawsuits. Not my field.

She does seem determined to stick it out with him, when she has the chance to be rid of an old creep and to keep the money. I gave no idea why she's being such a fool, it can't possibly be because of love. Not at this point.
