Billy Campbell as Ralph Truitt in A Reliable Wife

I have watched Billy in so many productions through the years, starting with The Rocketeer, but as I watched him in Copperhead, it occured he would make a great Ralph Truitt in the film, A Reliable Wife. This is an outstanding novel that is currently "in development" with Sony pictures. It is a novel about a very wealthy man in Wisconsin in 1908 who advertises for a wife in the newspaper and all Hell breaks out from there. I love this book and Ralph is one of my favorite male characters of the last few years. I would love to see an American actor in this role. I like the Brits and the down unders but Billy would be just outstanding.

Just thinking out loud...
