Robbed(!) of a Nomination for CARRIE...

...I don't recall ever having seen such Rage and Caring combined in such a beautiful way as Betty Buckley did as Coach Collins. A singer and stage actress, she perfectly captured the theatricality of a high school gym coach. She was so honest; I felt like I could read Miss Collins's every thought. I truly believe she should have been nominated alongside Piper Laurie (also amazing in a very different role) for Best Supporting Actress at the 1977 Academy Awards.
