Any further info on his suicide ?

After all the public child abuse cases in the last few years, did this contribute? Or was it his career declining or just the downward spiral if drugs ?

I read he was devastated when he was cut out of Hart's War. He was banking on that since his career suffered after his teens and that destroyed him. Also from what I read he seemed very introverted and shy type, very similar to his early characters as a kid.

This is horrible, given that Hart's war was utter shite. He should have waited for the reviews before offing himself - lol
Anyways..... actors.... psychologically speaking, are rather fragile creatures. For many of them, acting is a form of escape from facing themselves and what they perceive to be their own inadequacies.

KOWALKSI? IS THAT YOU???? 😁

Yes. Back in 1977/78 I worked in a London (West End) theatre on the stage crew. One evening I was in the pub between shows and got talking to a well-known (at the time) actor, the late Norman Rodway (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0736178/) who was appearing at another theatre nearby. He told me that professional actors are at their core deeply insecure and shy people, no matter what kinds of characters they might portray. That's why they're drawn to a profession where they spend their whole lives pretending to be anyone other than who they really are.
