Very attractive, but her oration is very strange...

I'm watching Lorraine Bracco right now on Oprah. She is from Brooklyn, NY, for Pete's sake. She has an accent. You know, some southern woman with heavy accents don't sound as if they are intelligent either, but that doesn't mean that they're dumb.

No, this has nothing to do with accents. I guess I am a little to broad when describing what I mean. Basically she just speaks very slowly. It has nothing to do with accents, dialect or anything else for that matter.


"Honey, get me an anxiety pill."

I wonder if it's something she does on purpose. The reason I say that is because I've known people from Brooklyn and they tend to speak REALLY fast. I wonder if she was trained in acting school to slow it down so that the rest of the world can understand her?

the H thing turns me off

Actually... Honestly, i find her slow-speaking kind of lovely :) It fits her, just looking at her face while talking it gives a funny feeling somehow hehe.

Anyway, i dont mind it by all means.

Interesting that you connect speaking slowly with lack of intelligence; there is so relationship between the two.

You know, you represent the people that gave me crap when I used to stammer---sometimes very severely--most of my life. If anything sounds the least bit different to simpleminded society, they so casually judge
