Danny Boyle makes unique, beautiful, thrilling movies. He's a genius with a great big heart who makes poetry out of some of life's harshest experiences. Every one of his films has awed me somehow and pushed me into new territory, forcing me to find new rhythms in the world and discover new joys in my own journey through life. Even when the path gets weird and painful and dark, there's always love to find, right by our side, and this love is what guides us back into the light. God bless you, Mr. Boyle.
