Don't get me wrong, I hugely respect Cate as an actress that is (rightfully IMO) known as one of the best, if not the best, of her generation. But I also have my shallow side and am totally not above admitting that I find her ridiculously beautiful and sexy, and that attraction is definitely a big part of my fascination with her. To me, her facial features are pretty much perfect. Not in a dull, mass-market, non-threatening way, but in a wonderfully unique and almost majestic way. She has large eyes, full lips, high cheekbones (ridiculous bone structure in general) and beautiful skin. That might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's certainly mine.

The close cropped hair and the angle of the picture really shows off her face in it's full glory. And yes, I recognise that it's an old picture (taken in 2001 when Cate was filming the movie Heaven I believe), but I personally think she's every bit as lovely now as she was then, if not more so. She's one of those rare and lucky women who's loveliness only seems to increase as they age.
