I love how Halle is so pro-black and even considers herself black despite only being 1/2. Yet, somehow she totally misses the mark with her black fans. She hasn't done a black film in so long. I know she crossed over years ago, but geesh I am tired of seeing her running up behind white men. But I guess that is life imitating art.
shareI won't say she ignores her black fanbase...I would say she has spent more time on the diversity aspect of her career. She's not going after roles which are written specifically for black women. Halle takes on roles which could be played by just about any actress.

Whats a 'Black Fan Base'? Your question really means, why doesn't she do African American films? Its because they have a limited reach, especially internationally, and that line of reasoning has paid off for her because she is an A-Lister today. Does she have to prove her pro blackness by doing Tyler Perry comedies or something?

shareI get pretty annoyed about her continual talk of a black actresses struggle. Even during her Oscar speech, she went on and on about her struggle with her milk white mother sitting right in front of her. There are far more worthy actresses that have struggled a lot more than her.
