did Robby Benson release any record albums. I recall seeing him perform with a guitar on television specials back in the 70s or 80s. If so are they available?
shareI just got two off of Ebay they are 45's and the label says for promotional use only. One is called 'A Rock and Roll song' from 1975, he sounds so young and cute. Another is from his 1979 film 'Walk Proud'. The song is called 'Adios Yesterday' he sings w/a slight Mexican accent, cuz he played one in the film complete with huge black contacts (It was a strange sight indeed, took some getting used to) That's a cool song, it's got a great beat.
I would say look on Ebay for more of those, I know I saw another 45 for 'All I want is love' from his 1980 film 'Die Laughing-Catch that film it has great music in it. And it's pretty funny. And there is a LP soundtrack to his movie 'Jeremy' I know he sings one song on that called 'Blue Balloon'.
Go to his website and there is a section where you could order his latest CD from his 2004 Play 'Open Heart'. I highly recommend it, It has one of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard, called 'Forever'.
He composed all the music and there are other gems on it, including his wife Karla singing 'Forever' as well as accompanying him on other songs.
