Ode to Billy Joe

Couldn't agree more!!! I just saw this for the first time a few weeks ago on cmt as well and developled a HUGE crush on him. What a fox! He did look so much younger than he actually was. I had no idea he did the voice of "Beast" in beauty and the beast. Found his homepage and he even has albums out. wow!

This is a movie I wanna own. His character in Ode to Billy Joe is just hilarious at times. Like when he tells her he is coming calling this afternoon and demanding she have ice tea waiting was great. The character just had a great sense of humor and they couldn't have cast a better actor for the part.

Me neither when i had seen this movie i fell in love with him those eyes are amazing :) but i was sad to find out this movie was made a while back and now hes like 50 :( so that sucks


oh ya i agree people would be dumb not to own this movie i also like when he says that its funny but it made me really sad when he killed himself i dont like that part at all but the movie is really good!!

I saw this movie on the big screen and those blue blue eyes when he looks at her father in the truck are stunning. That's the scene I remember most from this film.

I was just singing the song about the movie in my head... it is one that I can't get out of my head! As I listen to the song, I am seeing scenes from the movie... It has been years since I saw the movie, now I'm going to have to go find it!

I always thought the ending was SO tragic. Not just because of what happens to Billy but just the way her brother speaks to her and refers to her as "girl" and makes remarks about rumors about her being pregnant with Billy's child and acting disgusted and pretty much saying she will be disowned. It's just horrible.

That was a great song and a very good movie.
