How much longer do I have to wait?

Jason bateman's humor only truly works with the cast of arrested development. His humor is way too smart for most other actors. I thought the movie wasn't terrible. The supporting cast could've been better...

He's back on the rise though, with Disconnect. Apparently he's incredible in that.

I don't think he has "fallen" at all. He's an actor who went from being a popular child star to hardly working for over a decade until he got cast in Arrested Development. He's a guy who isn't afraid to take a job for the paycheck (he also got a producer credit on this film, so he got even more money) because he knows how quickly it can all come to a stop. He's been producing movies and just finished directing his first film, and in an interview I watched with him he said that he wants to be able to diversify because at some point the acting work will dry up again.

I think he's a fantastic actor, but that doesn't mean I feel as though I need to like or be interested in seeing every single one of his movies.

You're right. His type of humor is far too complex and intelligent for most shows/films as seen in AD and it's rare to find a comedy as witty these days, if at all.

Maybe he should work with Apatow.
