Deserves better 'comedy vehicles'

Like all Arrested Development fans, I'm a big admirer of Jason Bateman's talent.

What seems to be slightly bugging me is for someone who is as talented as him he should be in better films.

Now this is only a problem when he is one of the leads (eg. Identity Thief, The Change Up etc etc) because he has been in very good and critically successful films like Juno, Up in the Air and State of Play, but these parts range from cameo to small-supporting.

I would just like to see him in a film which is of high quality and he is right at the forefront. Maybe one day...

I would like to know the name of the spin off from Silver Spoons no one has it listed he is playing Derek does anyone know?

I liked Extract and he played the main character but yeah it's not very well-known and I wouldn't consider it a serious film. I did love him in that movie though and he's probably the reason why I enjoyed it so much.
