Why does this guy get a role in every comedy movie as he is just not funny?
Every Comedy movie I watch he is in there and they never give him any funny lines, it is pointless really how someone can be type cast as a comedy actor although he never once has actually made me laugh.

shareFunny I thought he was great in AD as he was playing the straight man to his whacked out family. Still even in this sort of role I got some laughs.

shareI agree with with you cream_7. The people that post negative comments on these boards wouldn't have the you know what to say these things in front of their faces. Plus, he is an actor. He has to go to work everyday to put food on the table for his family. To the op: how would you feel if people kept making negative remarks about you, your career and so on. The only difference between Jason Bateman and a 40 hour a week man/woman his the bank account.
shareAD is just as STALE and unfunny as the office was. Are you white? No offense, but the only people who loved the office and AD that I knew, were white. Nobody else reacted to those shows, from what I saw, at least. Neither show ever made me laugh. They made my head hurt. I react better to crude humor like Family Guy.

shareI am Black, and I LOVE AD, and quite enjoyed The Office. There is a lot of quick-witted and intellectual humor, so if you miss it or can't fully comprehend, it can be dull. (Somewhat similar to Sein & Frasier.) I did have to sit my dudes down to watch AD, but everyone CRIED TEARS they were laughing so hard. (ESP the last season, which is Netflix-only.)
Got to get out more homie, you'll meet countless other folk who also enjoy these shows! In the meantime, generalizing just makes you look ignorant, which I didn't get from you otherwise.
