SO nice in real life (and even more gorgeous!)

I met Rick at Avalon and OMG he was the nicest guy you will ever meet. He and Amanda both have such genuinely kind attitudes and are both so funny. Rick is such a laugh and he comes up with stuff on the spur of the moment that makes you giggle so much! (He walked past a cabinet with medieval dresses in it and said "I've got that!")

And OMG, when he put his arm round me i was gone... i could feel the nerve in me eye twitching. Seriously, you can't even begin to imagine what it's like to have Richard Dean Anderson standing next to you with his arm around you. And OMG, when we went to look at the photo with me after it was taken he said "Nice!" in that drawled out, sexy, gruff way Jack does (well, obviously as he plays the character, but you know what i mean).

But seriously, any other Avalon-goers know what i mean.

And my god, when he looks into your eyes... when he was talking to me at the table i'm surprised i could still form sentences (they were rather short and blunt but you try being coherant when Rick is looking at you). His eyes are SO dark, but in a warm way. He (and Amanda) just have this way of making you feel like you're the only person in the room besides them when they're talking to you, but when they're not talking to you, you still feel included!

Oigh!

Cool. Wish I had been there.

You've had a hard time? I've been here five years, they only hung me the right way up yesterday.

Awwwww, that sounds so cool. Glad you had a good time, and I'd LOVE to see that picture.

As for me, I refuse to go to those big events because I know I would be a total doof if I met these people. Between him and Michael Shanks, I would be such an embarrassing fangirl, and I don't want that--it's beyond embarrassing to realize you've been flirting with someone while they're signing your autograph (yes, I have done that).

Huckleberry200,

Did RDA say anything about stargate. mention that he would be coming back.
Do you know any of his fan club address. I would love to write to him.
Do you know if he is married, engaged, girlfriend, single.
Any woman would be so lucky to date him. Did you get lost in his eyes.
when you stare in them.Does he give really great hugs. He looks like the type
to hug fans.

Wow! That's so cool! Lucky you!

Hey Huckleberry!

I totally agree! When I found out he was attending Avalon I sat behind the computer all day to wait for the Avalon registration board to open!

I totally agree with you!
He's the most amazing man ever.
After 20 years my number 1 wish came true!

thats good to know, i have always been a big fan of his, ever since maguyver, and its really good to see a actor who is friendly and dosent treat his fans badly, i have had the misfortune to meet a few celebrities in my day, and the only ones that really ever came across well were ernie hudson and robert townsend

What is this "Avalon"? Is it a sci fi convention?

RDA was my first crush when I was nine years old, watching MacGyver. I still remember racing to the TV, making sure I didn't miss one note of the opening theme song. (I still love the theme song!)

Years later, now my husband has introduced me to his all-time fave show, Stargate SG-1. It's like rediscovering that childhood crush all over again!
