General Hospital

Is there anybody out there old enough to remember his General Hospital Days?

My girlfriends and I thought he was just the bomb back then, but somehow MacGyver just never hit the spot, and I never had access to Stargate until recently.

Just wondering if Jeff Webber was anywhere near the ironic, dry character that O'Neill is. In my old age, here, becoming a fan all over again. It's so obviously HIS sense of humor that permeates this show.

That's cool that you saw him during his GH days. I personally got to know him through MacGyver and absolutely love him through SG-1. You should head over to gateworld.net and check out the Jack O'Neill thread in characters and relaitonships:

It's the best place to go to discuss all things Jack O'Neill and RDA.

Thanks! I glanced through it, but didn't have a chance to really look at the site.

I'm 30 and I will always think of him as Jeff Webber. Here in Australia when "General Hospital" used to air years ago, we were about 9 years behind America!. I loved the show and Richard was great in that role. When "Macgyver" started i thought it was so cool seeing him on screen again. I am watching season 3 on dvd and i can't get enough of it. MacGyver is my hero.
I have never watched "Stargate". I am not a big sci fi fan and not even my affection for Richard made me watch it.

Mermaid,

I think even the non-sci fi fan can enjoy SG-1. It has alot of action-adventure elements, in some ways, similar to MacGyver.

I always wanted to know who the actress was that played his girlfriend on the show. All I remember about the storyline is that she was a virgin and he was her patient understanding non-loving lover and nothing much happened before either he or she or both left the show.

Hi Smoke,

That would be one of Richard's last girlfriends on the show. That was Annie Logan and she adopted a gifted boy named, Jeremy. I think that TPTB took it a bit too far on the virgin ordeal, and somehow they broke them up just before they were to get married, which totally sucked in my books.... I thought they should have groomed this couple to be the next Steve and Audrey for the show when Steve and Audrey were gone for good (having passed away) and then we could have enjoyed so much more of them. I loved the virgin aspect of it as it really gave young people watching the show a reason NOT to do it in high school. Oh well.... I'll have to do some research here to get the actress who played Anne Logan. OK, found it - Susan Pratt. HTH

Yes, I'm old enough and I had a huge crush on Jeff Webber too. (I was 7 or 8). But I also had one on MacGyver, Jack O'Neill, Simon Adams and Adam McFadden. Never could get into Legend though.
