I don't think it's his blog. It's a fan-run website that gets scoops a little faster than we do.
As for the title, I don't know but like you said, the aforementioned song does have that line, and his "first" short was titled "Cigarettes & Coffee". It must have something to do with it, but I'm as much in the dark as you.

That's probably all there is to it, but you could try to e-mail the site creator for an explanation.

It's a play off the name of his short film "cigarettes and coffee", and red-vines are a candy they sell at movie theaters.
